I offer classical guitar lessons to students of all ages, from the absolute beginner to professional level.

I studied classical guitar at Chetham's School of Music and Royal College of Music in the U.K., and have 7 years of professional experience in Japan as a performer and teacher. You will enjoy learning the intricacies of classical guitar technique and expression in a friendly and relaxed environment.

45 minute lessons are also available (especially for beginners) for $60 per lesson - please enquire for further details.

I am able to teach in both English and Japanese.

Online lessons available too.


Knowledge required
Beginner, intermediate and advanced students are welcome.
 
What to bring
If you do not own a classical guitar, we can provide a guitar for you to use during the class.
 
Suitable for

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 6 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids. The adult may observe at the class for free.

Yuki offers classical guitar lessons to students of all ages and levels.

Yuki studied guitar with Gordon Crosskey and Wendy Jackson at Chetham’s School of Music (Manchester, U.K.). He has a Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree from Royal College of Music, London, where he studied with Gary Ryan, Charles Ramirez and Chris Stell as a Foundation Scholar.

In 2008, Yuki performed in Royal Albert Hall, London as part of Cathcart Spring Prom. In 2016, Yuki performed ‘Concierto de Aranjuez’ by Joaquin Rodrigo with Euodia Symphony Orchestra conducted by Toru Himeno. He has released 2 CDs with the flute & guitar duo J-Symphonie.

Yuki currently teaches guitar and piano/keyboard at Octave8 Music Academy. He is a Full Member of the Music Teachers' Association of NSW, and is able to provide training to AMEB exams as well as other exam boards.

Lessons are offered in both English and Japanese.
