What you'll do
Dip your toe into the world of silversmithing with this jewellery making class with HeeCho in Melbourne!
In this beginner-friendly class, you will create beautiful jewellery with gemstones, also known as stone setting in wax/casting in place.
During this class, you will work with wax and learn how to set the stones into your wax. This will then turn into sterling silver. Your jewellery can have as many stones as you wish, resulting in a very organic and unique statement piece.
This class will also allow you to learn and understand how jewellery can be created with lost wax. You will be given all the information on how to set the stone in wax and what type of stone can work for this. You will also gain an understanding of what tools are needed for this job and the skill to handle them.
Important information:
- You can create more than one piece of jewellery during the class.
- Stones, Silver material, and casting fees (for one piece) are included in the class fee.
- From the second ring, the silver fee will be estimated to know how much silver there will be (the exact amount will be fixed from the casting company with an invoice).
- Casted jewellery will be cleaned and polished up by HeeCho and delivered to your address or you can also come to pick it up.
