Let your inner creative take the wheel at this fun fluid art workshop in Melbourne with Live For Art and create a unique masterpiece you can proudly hang on your wall!

In this fluid art workshop, you will be using a technique called the 'Dutch Pour' or 'Air Swipe' where you pour from a cup and use a hairdryer to move the paint around the canvas to create stunning cells, blooms and effects.

This class will cover:

  • How to prepare your canvas
  • How to mix paints and paint mediums suitable for this technique
  • Which recipes are good for this technique and what difference this makes.
  • How to choose colours and layer your paints on the canvas.
  • How to create beautiful cells and lacing in your art

After some paint play and practice on a small canvas, you will create your masterpiece on a 12 x 16 inch (30 x 40cm) gallery-wrapped canvas or similar that you can collect after three days drying time (or arrange to have sent to you for $20). Want to go bigger? There is also an option to upgrade the size of your canvas, to a 16 x 20 inch canvas, when stock allows. You can choose this option at checkout.

If you're looking for relaxing things to do in Melbourne, why not join this fluid art workshop and unwind with like-minded creatives as you learn new skills.

Please note:
  • You will use non-toxic acrylic paint.
