What you'll do
This fun Sydney workshop is the ideal introduction to the exciting world of digital photography. Receive expert teaching from Sydney Photographic Workshops and take your photography skills to incredible new heights!
At our half-day photography workshop, your expert tutor will take you to some of the better known and also the more hidden photographic locations around Sydney Harbour.
Starting at the very beginning, we will introduce you to your camera, lenses and other essential items that comprise a good photographic kit. You will learn what all of the different shooting modes of your camera are used for and how they can be applied to essential photographic techniques.
You will gain an understanding of how to operate your camera in manual mode, giving you true creative control of all your future pics.
Please note: Compact cameras without full manual capability are not suitable for this class.

What to bring
- A digital SLR or Mirrorless camera with full manual capability.
- Memory card(s).
- Any camera accessories you may have – e.g. tripod, lens hood, etc.
- Fully charged camera battery and spare if you have one.
- Your camera's manual – for referencing those hard to find features.
- Dress casual and comfortable with sensible shoes (you may get a little dirty at some locations).
- Wet weather gear if any showers are forecast.
