What you'll do
Relax and unwind with friends or make some here - these pottery classes are a fun introduction to wheel throwing. This is your chance to have your Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze moment while learning some basics of wheel throwing!
Learning the wheel is a patient process, and we don’t expect you to get it in a couple of hours. Experienced wheel throwers spend years perfecting their craft.
This class is about having a go and having some fun. We will teach you about centering as you practice making some ceramic bowls.
You will make two to three bowls - pick your best and they will be fired for you and glazed in a white glaze.
After the class, your masterpieces will be left here to dry slowly, sanded, bisque fired and hand-glazed in a white glaze before being fired again. They'll be ready for you to collect in approximately four to five weeks.

Your teacher
A small pottery studio based in the Northern Gold Coast. All pieces are handmade and original. I try not to take work too seriously. Clay is a fickle medium and you end up learning you have to run with the punches. It can be a rollercoaster of highs and huge fails and that is what makes it so appealing! You never know what you are going to get! I offer small bespoke hand building workshops in an informal and fun environment.
