What you'll do
If you're looking for new, fun things to do at home, learn the art of making a Japanese moss ball - a Kokedama! Get your hands dirty, reconnect with nature and discover the relaxing qualities of plants.
Kokedama are a traditional Japanese way to hang plants, like an ancient style of hanging baskets. Kokedama translates to ‘moss ball’, where plant roots are wrapped in moss, bound by string, and suspended.
You'll learn step by step how to make your own DIY Kokedama, and gain tips and tricks on the best soil composition, plants to use, and string tying techniques.
They make a beautiful feature for your home, and at the end of the workshop, you’ll have your own DIY kokedama to keep! Adorn your walls, or make unique gifts for a fellow plant lover, and gain all the skills you need to continue your love for houseplants and make plenty more kokedama.
