What you'll do

Tap into your creative side and learn the art of glass fusing in Melbourne!

This is an intensive and hands-on class where you will learn glass fusing skills and knowledge targeted at enabling you to make a beautiful glass vase - or platter if you prefer.

During this class, you will learn the basics of glass fusing plus techniques like how to cut glass using mosaic cutters, freehand scorers and a glass cutting system. You will then put these techniques into practice and create your own unique fused glass vase or platter.

Making a vase or a platter uses the same technique for both processes - so you can decide on the day what you want to make. We recommend a regular size vase, but if you want to go big, you can make a bigger platter or bowl.

This class is targeted at people with no or limited glass fusing experience, so beginners are very welcome. You will learn to make a stunning glass vase - or platter! Perfect for a centrepiece for your own home, a special gift or even a wedding gift.

You can make a regular size vase or a larger platter or bowl, depending on your budget and preference.

If you would like to schedule your session during weekdays we are very flexible and can accept as little as 2 bookings during a weekday as we have capacity to work with you even if there are just 2 of you. You can request to book in at 10am or at 1.30pm weekdays this way for your session.

You will leave your piece here for firing and it will be ready for pickup about 2 - 3 weeks after the workshop

This class is targeted at people with no or limited glass fusing experience. It is a nice introduction to glass fusing and you will be delighted with the results!

What you'll get

Includes all glass and materials for the workshop as well as the use of all tools and equipment needed to make your piece.
Structured workshop, small group, practical hands-on class and attention from the instructor.

What to bring

Bring a black texter, ruler, pen and pencil.
Wear casual clothing and enclosed shoes.
If you want to wear safety glasses, you can bring your own or purchase them here online (see extras).

We also offer kids classes, casual sessions and holiday programs. You don’t need any experience to attend. We have great, well-trained and friendly staff who will help you with your creations. We have a great, arty studio. Come and enjoy the creative, relaxing and therapeutic experience of working with glass in an arty, colourful environment.
