What you'll do
Having a Cricut machine can be overwhelming, especially when it can do so much! Come along to this online class with your child during the school holidays and start designing your own DIY projects together.
In this beginner-friendly class, you'll discover the amazing possibilities of a Cricut machine and get to practice techniques to make your own DIY project with your experienced teacher, Joyce!
What you'll learn:
- How to design in Cricut Design Space using a laptop or iPad.
- How to use the Cricut Joy to write and cut using the right settings.
- Techniques to weed, transfer and apply.
- How to use HTV and Cricut EasyPress.
- How to personalise everyday objects using vinyl.
What you'll need:
- Laptop with Cricut Design Space installed and has Bluetooth connectivity and access to the Internet (compulsory).
- Alternatively, iPad and Cricut Design Space. If you are using an iPad please install iFont app and FileExplorer app.
- Cricut Design Space (free download).
- Your Cricut machine, weeding tools, mats, Cricut pens.
- Your creativity, patience and enthusiasm!

What you'll get in your craft kit
Materials to complete the project can be posted to you at a small cost. Materials that are included - cardstock, vinyl, htv, faux leather, alligator clips, baking paper, lollipop, tote bag.
What you'll need
This is an online class therefore attendees are expected to have their own machines and materials (mats, weeding tools, Cricut pens, Cricut maker/explore/joy, Easypress2/mini easypress2), rotary blade, fine point blade, hot glue gun.
Suitable for
Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 8 years old).
An adult must be present whilst kid(s) engage with the box.

Your teacher
I live in Brisbane, Queensland Australia with my husband and my 2 beautiful kids. This is my creative outlet during spare time (if I have any!). I love stationary and have done art lessons as a kid but dropped out during my teens with all the busyness happening around me.
I found the Cricut maker by accident when I was browsing during Black Friday. It was a very interesting machine and I have been teaching Cricut classes since November 2020. I have a background in IT and currently work in the CBD. I contribute to Facebook Cricut groups and draw inspiration from social media. I used to teach piano lessons and therefore have a background in teaching.
I ensure you have my fullest attention and that is why my classes will only consist of yourself, or if you wish, including a pal! I include all materials and also the Cricut machine, which allows you to enjoy the class stress-free without worrying what to buy and bring. The Cricut machine is amazing for business, events, personal crafting, etc.
