Learn Punch Needle Shapes at Home

Looking for fun indoor activities for when you're bored at home? Discover how to create texture and three-dimensional shapes with this fun and easy-to-learn craft, punch needle!

During this relaxing class, you will be guided by Rebecca from Made by Me Workshop via Zoom. Whether you have already tried punch needle or not, this workshop will teach you a few tricks to get started or upskill you so that you can take your craft to the next level.

Your teacher will cover the basic techniques of punch needle embroidery as well as show you how to create texture or 'sculpt' your pile to create shapes and texture in your piece!

You can choose from a few different designs that are ideally suited to creating shapes. Rebecca will show you how to stretch fabric onto a hoop, transfer a design to your fabric and how to correctly use a punch needle to complete your chosen design.

No experience is necessary for the class, as this technique is easy to learn and you can decide how adventurous you want to be with the techniques you will learn.

You will need a pair of sharp embroidery scissors to cut your loops to create the sculptured shapes, a pair of scissors to cut paper, a marker to draw your design onto your fabric, some sticky tape and a light source such as the torch on your mobile phone.
