What you'll do
So you've tried one of our resin art classes at Sydney Community College but want to keep expanding your skills. Why not join us online and either start a new resin project or continue working on an existing one all under the guidance of our resin expert Monika!
In this small and intimate online class, you will learn from a passionate teacher who can answer any questions that you may have about this fun art medium. We will collaborate, inspire one another, share tips and tricks and most importantly, celebrate the exciting art of resin making.
After this class you will have:
- Worked with resin in your own space.
- An understanding of the tools and materials needed for working with resin at home.
- Expanded on your artistic resin techniques.
- Deepened your understanding of the resin medium.
Learn how to set up your space at home so that you can continue creating resin art with confidence. This class is great if you want to begin turning your hobby into a small business or learn how to make resin art gifts for friends or family.
Note: Please watch the short safety video and read the safety sheet that'll be sent to your email, before attending your class.
Knowledge required
It is recommended that you try one of our in-person resin workshops beforehand. This class is not suitable for pregnant women.
What you'll get in your craft kit
- 1x resin
- 5 x pigments - variety of colours
- 2 x 100 ml mixing cups
- 1 x jewellery silicone mould minimum 10 shapes
- 1 x white tile to coat
- 1 x pair of nitrile gloves
- 1 x table cover sheet
- 5 x plastic cups
- 10 x mixing sticks
What you'll need
- A vapour mask, available from hardware stores. If you feel concerned about the exposure to the resin vapour, please discuss it with your GP before attending the workshop.
- Apron to protect your clothes
- An object/surface to coat with Resin
- Please have a look at the safety sheet about working with resin and the short safety video sent with your enrolment confirmation.

Your teacher
Monika Pawsey
Monika is a resin artist and tutor who lives in Sydney. Her resin journey began in 2011 after attending Jewellery and homewares workshops at the Sydney Community College.
Monika has been passionate about all aspects of the Visual Arts since high school. Resin provides flexibility and artistic opportunities and the expression of individuality with the creation of a range of art pieces that are unique and, quirky. As a resin tutor, she often sees how people who don’t think they are creative, produce some stunning work.
Monika also established Olli Designs in 2012 when she began selling her resin pieces at art and craft markets, and through family and friends.
