Description

Experiment and learn how to make your own ceramics at this fun beginner’s throwing class.

This throwing class is the perfect introduction for anyone wanting to have some hands on experience working with clay on the wheel. This informative and fun class will teach you everything you need to know about how to prepare clay, centre ball of clay and throw different shapes using a wheel.

My class is usually one on one or small groups of two people so you can learn more throwing techniques in details.

Duration is 2 hours for throwing. At the end of the lesson, students will get to pick 2 of their best pots to leave with me to dry and fire and also pick the glaze of their own choice. I will email once the work is fired and glazed so you can arrange collection. Please note that from drying to firing to glazing takes about 3-4 weeks.

Just remember to wear casual and comfortable clothing as they’re guaranteed to get splattered with clay or bring yourself an apron. Please ensure your nails are cut short and long hair should be tied back. All of your materials including the clay and tools will be provided on the day.
