I joined this class out of curiosity and left feeling inspired and much more informed. The class was well paced and covered all the basics in an engaging and comprehensive way. The teachers were generous with their knowledge and experience. The class was also very good value. You leave with a kit you made in class and another set of material to replicate at home. You also get access to all the information you learnt online. Highly recommend this for anyone with any curiosity about growing mushrooms.

Cool mix of interested people w/ various experience levels. Good mix of books of different sourcing and focus areas offered. Various physical examples of range of fungi. Like the teachers. Good manner bout them. Broad, open discussion. Good for introducing at beginners level but good, ranging discussion. Friendly without being shiny. Enabling and acknowledging of people's intelligence and ability to take their activities as far as suits them. This class was the perfect intro to amateur mushroom growing. The information shared was comprehensive and easily digestible, and the instructors had confident answers to all participant questions. We were walked through innnoculation of our first DIY mushroom mini-farm and provided with supplies for a second round of growing. The in-person course is supplemented by an in-depth online content library paired with a platform for community discussion. I haven't yet engaged with the online component but it appears to be a wonderful resource. Amy and Mickey's obvious passion is infectious, and I'm stoked with their help in taking my first step into the world of mushroom cultivation.
