Mail art is about sending small scale works through the post!

The tradition of sending decorated envelopes or postcards has long been practiced by artists. The envelopes themselves have evolved into their own form of mail art, often sent through the mail with little or nothing in them. Integrating the sender and recipient addresses, and the postage required to send the envelope, is often an integral part of the envelope’s design.

In this workshop, Fran will demonstrate how to make a small-scale artwork. Learn about collage, using colour, texture, and image placement. She'll give tips and guidelines on how to use everyday materials to create artistic mail.

Join the snail mail revolution and reach out to others through art. In doing so we can make our own hearts feel better, too.
