Description

Make ridiculously cute unicorn macarons, in a fun workshop held by MakMak. You'll of course get to taste (aka eat) your results, and take away whatever macarons that you don't devour on the spot!

This class is only suitable for students who have already completed the basics class with MakMak. Why? Because in this class, you'll skip over the detailed learning on the mixing process that's covered in the basics class. MakMak's recipe is unique and isn't really compatible with typical macaron-making techniques found elsewhere. You'll instead spend more time on honing your technique, and building on what you learned in the basic class.

You'll leave this workshop buzzing with your newfound macaron superpowers, and receive a complimentary gift bag with the stencil, recipe and some of the items that you'll need to whip up a batch of these macarons at home.

MakMak reserves the right to cancel the class if insufficient tickets are sold - so please keep an eye on your email/phone in the days leading up to the class.

Sydney's Best Macaron Makers!

Established in April 2010, MakMak Macarons is one of Sydney's leading macaron makers. MakMak's macarons were declared Sydney's best, ahead of heavyweights like Adriano Zumbo and Laduree, in a blind tasting by esteemed Sydney chefs Christine Manfield (Universal), Peter Gilmore (Quay) and Ross Lusted (The Bridge Room). All three voted MakMak as their most preferred.

MakMak’s handmade macarons are distinguished by their unique texture and flavour as well as a commitment to sourcing the highest quality ingredients including Callebaut chocolate, Maldon Sea Salt and Bombay Sapphire gin. MakMak uses seasonal fresh fruits and native Australian ingredients including lemon myrtle and strawberry gum.

Carlos, the 'Mak Daddy', of MakMak, can't wait to meet you at one of their next workshops.
