Discover the joy of crafting your own bespoke candle and container in our artisan Marbled Or Terrazzo Candle & Container Workshop. This hands-on workshop invites you to explore the creative possibilities of Jesmonite, an eco-friendly acrylic resin, to design a beautiful container with a lid. You can choose between marbling or terrazzo techniques to create a unique and stylish piece that reflects your personal aesthetic.
During the workshop, you will:
  • Design and Create Your Container: Learn the art of mixing and pouring Jesmonite to craft a container with a lid. Choose from marbled or terrazzo finishes to personalise your creation.
  • Make Your Soy Wax Candle: While your container cures, dive into the world of candle making. Select a fragrance from our premium selection and pour your own soy wax candle, perfectly sized to fit your custom container.
  • Enjoy a Creative and Relaxing Atmosphere: Our spacious and inspiring workshop space in St Peters is designed to provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We provide lovely refreshments, including coffee, tea, and snacks, to keep you energised and inspired.
This workshop is perfect for crafters of all levels. Whether you're a seasoned artisan or a beginner, you'll leave with a stunning, handcrafted container and candle*, along with the skills to continue creating at home.
*Your candle will require overnight setting, ensuring its perfect fragrance and form. You will need to return to collect your finished candle, ready to seal inside your custom container.

Knowledge required
This is a beginner-friendly workshop with no previous experience or skills required.
 
What you'll get
We will provide everything you need to create your candled container, including full use of our tools and equipment and a curated selection of fragrances to scent your candle.
 
What to bring
Everything you need will be provided, including an apron to wear during the workshop - it can get a bit messy, so don't dress to impress.

This venue is a short walk from St Peters station (500m). There is street parking available, parking is free and unlimited on weekends.

Your teacher can also travel within 15 kms of St Peters, to a venue of your choice for a private class

Made by Me Workshop is about helping people to connect with their "inner creative" and have some fun while making beautiful things from quality materials in our friendly & vibrant studio space in the heart of the inner west!
Established in 2017 after Rebecca Doyle decided to take a career break and chose to revisit her childhood love for arts & crafts. Rebecca grew up in a large family where money was tight, after school activities where mostly homegrown and usually involved a sheet of cardboard, a glue stick and some glitter! It is probably no surprise to learn that Rebecca followed a creative path to study Fashion & Textile Design at University!
After a few more decades (than Rebecca will publicly admit to) and a long and varied career in the fashion industry, Rebecca wanted to get back to creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind objects - Made By Me Workshop is the result of where this path led.
Rebecca loves that moment of pride that comes over each participant's face when they look at what they have created and say to themselves "Wow - I made this & I love it!"
