Miriam Young is the only fully qualified perfumer in Australia offering 100% natural perfumery workshops.

She began her journey as an Aromatherapist in 1995 and then went onto become a Medical Herbalist, Counsellor and Healer. Miriam is the internationally bestselling author of Detox for Living, Natural Cleanses for Modern Disease. Her career as a Medical Herbalist has spanned two decades.

Miriam’s premier perfume Patmos Parfum was launched on the Island of Patmos in the Aegean Sea in August of 2016. Orange Exotique Parfum, a creation that took over two and a half years to fruition, followed shortly afterwards.

Miriam has always had a deep love of fragrance and remembers well the aroma of her mother’s clothes in the early 70’s – the boldness of the controversial Opium and the feminine scent of Anais Anais.

Miriam’s absolute passion is sharing the joy of fragrance with the Ultimate Fragrance Experience – the workshops she runs in Brisbane. Miriam also creates bespoke fragrances for individuals and businesses.

Had a great time. Miriam (the teacher) made sure that it was a creative event and it really felt like there were no wrong choices: just creative fun. I enjoyed mixing up my sampler perfume and then making a proper batch of it to take home with me.

Love wearing my perfume. It’s unique and just want I wanted. It could be better but for a novice I feel accomplished!

My friend and I took the class in late spring and the weather was almost too hot to be out of A/C. Recommend taking the class in cooler months.

This is an amazing experience to share with your family and friends. The class is extremely well organised, easy to follow and Miriam supports you all the way. Great value for money as you take home your own bespoke natural fragrance and you learn the process. We loved this workshop and had loads of fun.

This workshop is definitely amazing Miriam the tutor is well experienced and passionated to the whole perfume making process. We are provided various kinds of perfume components to try and sense to mix them and make our own taste. Wines, tea, biscuits and fruits are provided as well to improve the experience of the tutorial. I was very hard to find a good perfume for myself however I made a great one by myself which is the best thing on the top! We are very enjoying the perfume trip!

This was an amazing experience for me and my partner. Miriam gave us the opportunity to create individual perfumes that we intend to use for our upcoming wedding, and cherish for the rest of our lives. Miriam is exceptionally kind, friendly and a truly knowledgeable perfumer. She gave us novices a great insight into the world of perfumery and an appreciation for her craft. We enjoyed an intimate session, where we were spoilt with amazing tea, chocolates, strawberries and sparkling wine to cap off the afternoon. A truly remarkable experience, which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.
