What you'll do
A mosaic party is a fun and creative adult party, perfect if you're looking for 30th birthday ideas in Melbourne, or 40th, 50th and so on! They are also crafty and unique ideas for hens parties in Melbourne, end-of-year parties, and special group parties.
Making a mosaic is a relaxing and therapeutic experience. With our trained and friendly staff, everyone will feel comfortable and will make a piece that they are delighted with. These parties can be run at our studio which is a cool, arty space or at your premises.
The party begins with participants choosing a template from a wide range of choices such as picture frames, mirrors, trivet, swan, dove, seahorse, elephant, pineapple, Volkswagen and many more. Then choose from a gorgeous array of mosaic glass tiles and learn to cut, design, stick and grout your piece.
Typically the mosaic part of the party runs for two-and-a-half hours, then you have about 30 minutes for the food and celebration. You can bring food and drinks to the party and at the end of the party, everyone will take their pieces home.
We can accommodate up to 30 people in one space and also have three additional rooms if you want to hire the studio for a large event (64 working spaces). We have a lovely courtyard for participants if you wish to use it and on a nice day or evening, you can eat in the courtyard. There is a minimum of nine adults for a private party.
We also run team-building activities in Melbourne for corporate groups. For corporate events, we offer a choice of each person making their own piece or a group mosaic where the team contributes to the group mosaic and it stays at work. The second option requires some planning and would be priced accordingly.

What to bring
- You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks if you choose. You will need to bring table cloths, cutlery, plates and everything you need to set the table. We have a small fridge and freezer which can hold a reasonably sized ice-cream cake or birthday cake. We also have a microwave oven (no oven).
- If you want to wear safety glasses, you can bring your own or purchase them here online.

Merryl’s Mosaics and Glass Studio is a mosaic and glass fusing studio where people of all ages come to experience the wonderful world of glass art. We run adult classes, specialised workshops and casual sessions, team building workshops and corporate events in either mosaic or glass fusing. We also offer kids classes, casual sessions and holiday programs. You don’t need any experience to attend. We have great, well-trained and friendly staff who will help you with your creations. We have a great, arty studio. Come and enjoy the creative, relaxing and therapeutic experience of working with glass in an arty, colourful environment.
