We know the first wedding anniversary is paper, so we created a new workshop program for a special creative couple in a relaxing atmosphere.
Why don't you and your partner will get together to create an ever-lasting origami flower decoration for your sweet home?
The workshop will be only for two people. No experience required.

Midori Furze is a Japanese contemporary artist and an experienced origami instructor. She also runs workshops at the Art Gallery of NSW, Hazelhurst Art Centre, Japan Foundation Sydney and many other occasions. www.midorifurze.com

There are two locations available for the workshop.
One of them is Ryokan Gojyuan, a uniquely Japanese style B&B in Balmain and the other one is Shuffle Studio, funky co-working space in Brookvale. Enjoy a special meditative morning of paper folding and green tea. Please choose the date which you can find on this page or send a message to Midori.

(For the one to one private lessons at my studio, check out my other class)

Please note that the bookings will be cancelled automatically if Classbento doesn't receive the lesson fees in 5 days, so don't forget to complete the bookings.

Looking forward to meeting you and help you with the celebration!

Origami and art

5.0 (6)

Origami is fun. A sheet of square paper turn into a bird is still amaze me. It is also an affordable, lightweight, clean activity. You can play anywhere. It is a great exercise for our hands as well as our brains.
In recent years, origami techniques are used in design, math and science. The airbags in the cars are folded. The solar panels in the spaceships are folded.
Let's have fun with origami!
Midori has been teaching origami in Sydney for many years. e.g. Art Gallery of NSW, Powerhouse museum and many schools and councils.

Amazing origami workshop with a fantastic tutor, Midori Furze.

Really loved the venue, a real hidden gem.

Midori was the perfect host, looking after us, providing expert tuition and a genuinely fantastic experience. Loved the art and the Japanese hospitality.

Big thanks to Midori for making this happen, especially in the trying times of social distancing.
