I have always loved to cook. My mother and grandmother taught me that a kitchen is a magical place where simple ingredients are transformed into mouth-watering delights.

My father gave me a love for all that grows wild and free. As a child, she spent many holidays in the Northern Italian mountains, fishing for trouts and yabbies in the rivers, collecting mushrooms, berries, and chestnuts in the forest, and even collecting snails.

Food was like a beacon around which my family would appear, drawn as if by magic by the fragrance, beauty, and abundance of the offering laid out across the large kitchen table. These seemingly impromptu and delicious meals left a deep impression on me and were the inspiration for La Cucina di Manuela.

My cooking classes are my way of sharing with you the best of that indelible experience.

Her cooking classes are her way of sharing with you the best of those experiences and her memories of abundance, fragrance and beauty at the large kitchen table dinners with her family.

Manuela was an amazing teacher - it was clear that she was a passionate cook and a caring teacher. She took her time guiding us through making pasta dough and different pasta shapes. Eventually, we cooked the ragu and ravioli which culminated into a lovely meal. Throughout the lesson, we also received little tips and tricks that Manuel had accumulated over her lifetime experience. The venue was very clean and felt very personal and relaxing. This is lovely place to spend a Sunday morning or afternoon at with friends and family.
