Pastels Class for Art Teachers: Abstract Face

This workshop will equip teachers with knowledge both technical and practical, for teaching Visual Art in the classroom.

In this hands-on workshop, we will help you to develop the techniques to draw a face in an Abstract style, using art techniques to create images. We will also cover how to set up the space to facilitate the activity, materials required, time, tips and problem-solving.

The aim of this workshop has been to assist teachers to confidently manage and instruct their students in learning Visual Art skills and techniques. The practical activities are simple and stepped out in a way that is designed so anyone can create a successful artwork. The knowledge of equipment set up and management is important, mismanagement can be costly in both time and budget, this session has been created to help teachers to avoid those issues.

The workshop can be used to satisfy professional development requirements. You will be issued with a portfolio and will have access to a private Facebook group for follow-up questions and peer support.

Our professional development workshops are aimed at teachers and taught by teachers. We will equip you with the practical skills, lessons-plans and tools to implement new skills in your classroom. We are not affiliated with any supplier, so we won't be pushing product.

Your teacher for this class has degrees in Fine Art and Education. Nicole has been an artist for 40 years and an active teacher within the school system for 16 years. She understands the realities facing teachers, and has extensive experience creating work programs, managing budgets for art programs and working across all grade levels.
