Description

Join me in my Marrickville studio across two evenings to learn the process of plaster mould making and slip casting with porcelain.

The first evening is where you will be introduced to the process of creating a plaster mould. During this class, you will be creating two simple one-piece moulds ideal for beginners.

A week later your mould will be ready for pouring and you will be using porcelain to cast into your moulds. This class will introduce you to the casting process and teach you tips and tricks to cast successfully.

Every item you cast during the class will then be fired and glazed as requested and ready to pick up the following week.

Each evening will take two and a half hours and will include a cheeseboard and a glass of sparkling, making it ideal to book with a group of friends or to get to know other like-minded creatives across the two evenings.

This class is available on Request for groups of 4+.

Don't have a group of 4+ students? If you're happy to pay a higher price per person (total of $720 for the class), you can just Request to book this class for 4 students (and attend with fewer guests).

Mennt.

Mennt is a design studio operating out of a small Sydney studio. Mennt’s products are designed and made by Laura Butler with creative direction from her partner Aman Braich.

Mennt has an uncompromising focus on high quality materials. We believe in creating products that will last a lifetime with continual love and use.

We believe that high quality design should be available to everyone, not just the 1%. In order to create a more affordable product, we reimagined our entire approach to create a more productive and streamlined process.

Mennt is minimalist in its approach to design; we strip our products down to only the necessary elements and focus on the rituals of everyday life.

Mennt is designed with longevity in mind. Our clay is sourced sustainably from Victoria and we recycle as part of our daily practice in the studio. We design and create refined objects that will not only last a lifetime, but will polish with age.
