What you'll do
Sketch a realistic face and bring your canvas to life at this portrait drawing workshop in Sydney! Led by artist Elinor Pickard, beginner to advanced students will learn how to draw in a casual and supportive group environment.
The human face has been a source of inspiration and challenge to artists through the ages. Humans are biologically drawn to connect with faces and the feelings they convey, so portraiture is a time-honoured artform in drawing, painting and sculpture.
During the session, learn and practice drawing principles for capturing a likeness in the human face. Discover how to focus on the finer details so that you can make something truly incredible and realistic.
At the end of the class, return home with your practice sketches and the understanding and knowledge to continue perfecting your portrait drawing skills!
Materials
- Option 1: Purchase a full materials kit at enrolment checkout. This will be supplied in your first class.
- Option 2: Bring your own (you will receive a detailed list after booking).All students must be over 18+ years of age.
