Merlin Mosaica's "Mosaic Garden Stake" course held on 1 & 2 March 2025 was wonderful. Ali has an extensive supply of glass and tiles to select from when making your piece, and vast experience with different mosaic media types. I recently did the stained glass on mirror mosaic course. I've never attempted anything like this before. The class was very informative, relaxed and I learnt a lot about colour, types of glass, techniques, tools, adhesives and finishes. The best part was after 1 & 1/2 days I had my very own piece finished and it's now pride of place in my garden. I'm now booked into the do the garden stake course & I'm quite excited. Cheerz

My daughter and I kickstarted our week long crafty holiday with a Mosaic Garden Stake course with MerlinMosaica. Teacher Ali was very easy to learn from, and very patient (with me especially …I’m nearly 73).
We both came away with a host of new skills, not to mention our lovely garden stakes which already hold pride of place in the garden.
I made the butterfly and my daughter made the teardrop. We both feel very accomplished having been able to do this.
Ali is so very knowledgeable about all things “ glass”, and didn’t mind how many questions we asked.
She even presented us with a homemade batch of Portuguese tarts for morning tea. Delicious!
I’m so happy we did this course and have no hesitation recommending Merlin Mosaica.
Thankyou Ali for giving me the interest to want to pursue this further.

I really enjoyed this class that Ally taught. It has definitely sparked an interest in learning more and working with glass / mosaics further. I highly recommend Merlin Mosaica as I found Ally to be very knowledgeable of the industry / materials as well as encouraging and supportive, whilst still allowing freedom to have a go yourself.
