Resin & Wood Serving Board Workshop

3 hours 1 to 25 label $190

Turn your next cheese platter into a masterpiece with your very own resin enhanced serving board. We’ll give you the tools and techniques to turn your creativity into a beautiful object you’ll be proud to show off at your next dinner party!

Participants will learn how to work with polymer resin, mix their own colours and the techniques required to create their very own Resin & Wood Serving Board Set.

What you get: a set of 3 wooden serving boards, enough resin, pigments and powders to mix your colours and create your own serving boards. It can get a bit messy so don't dress to impress.

Your boards will need 24 hours to dry, you will need to collect your piece the following day. Postage can be arranged for an additional charge.

We believe craft is as much about creativity as it is about connection, in our workshops you have the opportunity to meet new friends, share a few stories, laugh with each other and simply enjoy some time out for yourself.
Class sizes are always kept small so that participants will enjoy hands on assistance while you learn and create.

Since no gathering is complete without a few nibbles, we will always have something on offer to eat and drink; tea, coffee.

This class is not recommended for pregnant women as chemicals are used. However, the resin we use is certified as food safe - the stipulation is “for occasional contact” (this is the only certification used for resin) so it is the best available and very broad. My recommendation is that you just wouldn’t cut on it or place hot foods onto it.

Cancellation Policy: no refunds for classes but you are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day.

Aside from this class, this teacher also has the following coming up:

Regular classes can have up to 10 students; however this teacher can take up to 25 students for special events.

Booking larger group events is easy. Just Request it.

Knowledge Required

No prior experience required, this class is suitable for beginners with an open mind and a spirit of adventure

What to bring

Everything you need to create your boards will be provided including an apron to wear during the workshop - do not dress to impress, if you get resin on your clothes or shoes it will not wash out.

Suitable for

This class is ideal for individuals and couples as well as for a hens party, special occasion, birthday, baby shower, team building activity, corporate event, bucks party or Christmas party.

Our teacher Beck was super knowledgeable, friendly AND she baked scones! The course was very generous providing 3 chopping boards to resin and the space was light, airy and felt good to be in (plus great parking).

The tips and tricks I picked up were invaluable. Best resin course I've done so far, wholly worth the time and money.

Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge!

I loved this class!

The workshop is well thought out, relaxed and lots of fun. Rebecca is fun and knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The spread of colours and effects available was fantastic and a really great reason for doing a workshop so you can play with all the options. I've never used resin before and I'm so happy with the result! Everyone in the class ended with fantastic results with Rebecca's guidance. Would happily recommend to anyone wanting to try resin, no matter the level of artistic experience.

It was a very enjoyable and therapeutic art/crafts workshop, Rebecca was very friendly and approachable, when students asked questions. She also personally went around to see if anyone needed help. The venue was nice and airy, and comfortable.
I learnt a lot and will definitely keep pursuing resin as an art :)

Rebecca was a lovely caring person to be around .she made everyone feel very comfortable and confident to use the products and tools provided. The class was a great size and everyone got lots of attention to help give us all the confidence to produce good work.there was no lack of product to use and plenty of beautiful colours and effects eg.sparkel glitter etc . I would have liked a follow up class for the sanding and oiling of work to follow but I understand the drying factor did not allow that .otherwise a great way to explore and share my art experience

This workshop was excellent and very worthwhile. Rebecca was great fun and gave lots of encouragement and tips. It was very good value for money especially given the high cost of resin and pigments. Highly recommended. Five stars plus!!!!

Resin Art workshop review by Michael Mackay
What kind or brand of the powder paint and resin are used in this class?

For the serving boards we used Master Cast. The pigments were a variety of pigments but you should be able to find all that you need in the Art Tree Creations website - there are 5 key categories of pigments you can look at - all are Art Tree’s own brand;

- translucent dyes

- metallic powders

- pearlescent powders

- epoxy pigments

- H2O pigments
