Scoffed Cooking School is all about getting stuck in, having fun in the kitchen, learning new skills and eating yummy food. We call it “Food. Fun. Do”!

Our Adelaide cooking classes and parties are not too serious (we are not creating Gordons or Hestons), but you’ll never forget the feeling of stretching your own dough, the smell of caramelising sticky pork ribs on the BBQ, or your first taste of that still warm and soft birthday cake that’s just come out the oven.

All our classes are run by professionally qualified chefs trained by us to share their passion and knowledge with you. Whether that be for a specific regional cuisine or particular technical skill, you can be sure to have a memorable experience.

The ramen making class was a gift from friends and I'm absolutely delighted that I did it. The whole experience is really enjoyable, from the introduction over a glass of wine, to the practical to getting to eat the delicious result.
Tony is really patient and explains each step in detail. I left really feeling as though I could replicate the result at home.
Such great value for money, and a great afternoon overall. Thanks Tony!

Had an amazing time! The food was delicious and the quality of ingredients was great. Tony was a wonderful teacher with clear instructions.

Given the price, it would have been great to have been sent home with a written recipe so we could make the dish more than just once
It also would have been greta since the teacher took photos if we could have an easier way to access those photos as there are now photos of me for Scoffed that I can't even view that they can use. I'm fine with them using my image, but would be better if I could use it too!

Chef was absolutely amazing. Very patient will all us amateurs. Ingredients were things we would find in our own kitchens not exotic ones that we would use once. Instructions were easy to follow and end results were delicious. Will definitely look to book another class soon.

This was organised as part of an anniversary gift for my partner. We are both quite inexperienced when it comes to cooking and cooking and were a bit worried that the class would be too advanced BUT we were pleasantly surprised by the experience which was informative, educational and fun! Our teacher was such a great help and was able to support us with each of our questions. We had a great time eating the food we had made (and were in shock that it was our creation!) Would definitely recommend this to others!

This was an absolutely fantastic experience. Our teacher was really knowledgeable and the class very friendly. It was wonderful to learn how to cook Japanese ramen from scratch. It tasted better than any ramen I've ever eaten and we learnt some fantastic skills in the process. Will absolutely be back for more classes in the future.

I tried to make gnocchi before and it was a disaster! After this class I feel very confident that I'll be able to make them at home. Also loved that we learned to make both potato and ricotta gnocchi!

Teacher's response

Hi Delphine, Thank you for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you had such a positive experience in our gnocchi class and that it has boosted your confidence in making them at home. We hope to see you again soon for another culinary adventure!

This was such a wonderful course and experience. I have wanted to learn Low & Slow techniques and this class was a great entry to that.

We cooked and tasted some wonderful food that gives me the confidence to try this at home.

I really appreciate the time our teacher took after class to talk me through how to get started, not from a product perspective, but principles.

Would recommend this to everyone and will undertake another class soon!

Teacher's response

Our teacher is truly dedicated to helping students understand not just the products, but also the principles behind the techniques. We're glad that you appreciated the extra time they took to guide you through the process. If you have any questions once you get started then don't hesitate to ask for help if you need to.

We appreciate your recommendation and we would be more than happy to have you join another class soon! We're always excited to continue teaching and sharing our love for cooking. Thank you again for your kind words and we look forward to seeing you again in the future!

Always wanted to learn how to make homemade pasta and this course certainly provided the knowledge and skills to do that. Teacher was great, explained steps clearly and was highly skilled. All materials were provided and all I had to do was just turn up. The best part was that we actually sat down and ate what we prepared. Very enjoyable experience.

Teacher's response

Thanks Maria - we are delighted you enjoyed your class and we look forward to seeing you again.

The chef was clearly very knowledgeable and even improved on some basic techniques I didn't know I was doing wrong. I also loved the passion he showed and the humour he used.
I will be back for more, perhaps with the children in tow next time.

Teacher's response

Hi
Thanks for the great review and we look forward to seeing the whole family again soon!

Really loved your idea re the recipe.

We have chosen not to give out the recipes as people used to jump ahead and get things wrong! Obviously there is a balance and it's important that people can follow what's going on too, so we will look at a solution!
Thanks again

Teacher was very good definitely knew his stuff it was a good class i did learn a few things the only disappointment was the course we did and got emailed what we will be expecting such as brisket and ribs we got none of that we had a hotdog a smash burger pork belly burnt ends and 2 chicken wings and all was amazing with the sauces we made but it just wasn't what i was expecting the staff were all good everything was good

Teacher's response

Thank you, Shaun, for your positive feedback! We appreciate your kind words about our knowledgeable and talented teacher. While we are glad you enjoyed the dishes we prepared, we apologise that it didn't meet your expectations regarding brisket and ribs. The class was actually an American Grill class and not a low n slow which is why we didn't do the brisket and ribs. There was obviously an error in the way the class was communicated via ClassBento, so we can only apologise for this. Nonetheless, we are pleased that the food, sauces, and staff all exceeded your expectations. Thank you for joining our class!

I liked the venue, the price was fair for what you get. You get a complimentary drink on arrival.
I learned new things about handling the knife, cutting and making the meal itself. It was great to learn the little extras about the egg pan, storage of knives and so on.
I would definitely recommend the class.

Had an absolute blast making some delicious food with some fantastic company. My belly was very full indeed. Learnt some new skills & improved on those I already had. Only issue I had was the class finished late, way past my bedtime. Would be great if there were more options for times, weekends etc

This was a great class and lots of fun. Tony was a great teacher, helpful, friendly and easy going. The class size was perfect for our Leadership Group and the banter throughout the evening kept things ticking along. It was laid out well and gave everyone the opportunity to actually participate. The timing was great and the food was YUMMY!

Our chef was amazing, his instructions were very clear and he was happy to help with all our questions, the set up in the kitchen was great, everything was ready to go and the other staff in the area were also very friendly. I'd picked up a few techniques with cooking while learning to make an incredible meal. This was my first time here but we're already at looking to come back.

It was an excellent experience that was at a relaxed pace, just like the low and slow process. Some really interesting new cuts of meat to try and plenty of questions that were happily answered. The food was delicious and it was a constant stream of things to try. All around a worthwhile cooking class, I went straight out to buy a bullet smoker to practice what I had learnt.

Teacher was excellent: lots of tips such as knife skills, general hygiene practice and great cooking guidance. Helpful where needed, good organisation and we all had lots of fun. Final result delicious.
