Such a good workshop! Everything from the philosophy behind kintsugi to the actual technique was very interesting. Our teacher, Jun, was a patient teacher and it was nice to hear him talk about how he got into kintsugi and different things about his life and Japan in general. The workshop was comprehensive enough that we could repair our own pieces at home in future.

This class was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. Caity has great skills with the wax and was knowledgeable about the casting process. She had a lot of funny stories, too. It’s cool to be able to make your own piece of jewelry. There was plenty of time for me to experiment and make three pieces. I chose two to get casted into silver. You get one piece included in the price of the workshop and you can get an additional piece cast for an extra cost, based on the weight of the piece. It’s really good value!
