Whether you're new to matcha or are already in love with this specialty green tea powder from Japan, Chakabuki is a fun and immersive way to discover more about this tea while testing your tastebuds. Fair warning: you'll be drinking six (small) cups of matcha, two of each kind.

The class was well structured, with Blair covering the basics first before moving into different techniques. While the online channel allowed for a close viewing of the demonstration part of the class, I felt it would've been nice to have in-person support because I don't feel I got the hang of all the techniques (but this is hard to diagnose virtually). Would've benefited from about 30 mins longer, though the class did cover everything required to set up ongoing practice.

Teacher (Louise) explained steps very clearly and the activities flowed easily from one task to another. Good mix of theory and practice. She was also able to answer detailed questions and was generous with her experience and expertise. Overall, the class gave me the confidence to pursue my own candle-making practice. I was really pleased with the results.
