Francois made making macarons look so easy! He explained the recipes well, and we’ve come away with a variety of recipe flavours, lots of ideas, and the confidence to try them at home.

The venue was good, with sufficient parking. We couldn’t find the kitchen initially though. Francois had sent a map, but I couldn’t find the email when we got there. I would suggest allowing yourself a little extra time to get there early to find the kitchen and settle in to enjoy the demonstration.

This workshop was so much fun. We learned different techniques, and got to try different nozzles and embellishments - a great way to try without buying all the things. Carlie was very knowledgable, and absolutely lovely!

It was a good day to do the workshop (summer, so quite warm but not super hot) because Carlie was able to demonstrate how to work with butter cream in Perth. There is so much variation in how it behaves in different temperatures, so this was a great opportunity.

The cupcakes look beautiful and taste delicious.

Will, the instructor, explained the techniques well and was encouraging for all levels of creativity. In our group we had experienced artists, beginners, and participants who hadn’t done art for decades. Will was funny, and supportive, and we all came away with something we liked.

The venue is excellent with easy parking on a Sunday. The class was well structured, and studio well organised. I would definately go again.

I am absolutely in love with the throw rug that I made today with Wendy and the other lovely ladies. Wendy was very patient and sat with each of us at times to make sure we were on the right track. One of the ladies finished her baby blanket during the workshop, which allowed us to see how to finish off. I’ve purchased the extra wool and finished my throw rug at home, and am so pleased with it. I’ve dropped a stitch or two but it still looks beautiful, has a comfortable weight to it, and is incredibly warm. The wool is so soft and delicate. Wendy also gave us a lovely bag to carry our wool home, which I will keep the store the rug in during warmer weather. This workshop was an absolute pleasure.

Thoroughly enjoyed this class. I used some of the paintings as cards for family, and they loved them too!

Basket weaving with Bel was lovely. I asked her to send my kit early because post to WA is very disrupted at the moment, & she did. The kit was well presented & contained everything I needed. Bel was very patient & kind, and showed us how to do steps multiple times which was great.

The kit is great - pens are lovely to write with, and there are a couple of lovely little surprises included. I had no problem with shadowing through the booklet pages. A recorded ‘how to’ video to show the correct angles for holding the pens & making the strokes would really add to this experience.

Our whole family, (Mum, Dad & 11 year old son) attended this workshop. The teacher was lovely, patient & kind. The venue was clean & beautiful. By the end of the workshop we’d all created something unique & beautiful.

This is the third class I’ve done with Carlie from The Paintbar, & I’ve learned something new in each one. I love that Carlie chooses native animals for her subjects. Thoroughly enjoyed being a participant in this new class.

Icy is a lovely instructor, patient and kind. She taught us how to break the letters down into their component parts so we can look at most alphabets and recreate them rather than having to remember each individual letter. Icy also showed us different tools as some of us provided our own equipment. Thank you! However, I would strongly recommend getting the kit and class as Icy used a flange, which I’ve never seen used before. An enjoyable workshop.
