Dominique runs a historical supplies store for re-enactors and craftspeople using materials like natural fabrics and natural dyes with fully customisable costume kits.

Under her guidance, you will learn how to hand sew woollen mittens based on an 8th-9th Century find in Iceland. You will be able to choose your fabric and thread colour and will be provided with a historical sewing kit that includes 100 per cent wool, threads and linen and natural, historical dyes.

During the workshop you will cut out your mitten patterns in the size that fits you, pick your fabric and thread colours and learn a few different historical sewing techniques, you will complete the class with a fantastic pair of handmade mittens.

Light lunch and drinks will be provided, items such as a sandwich platter or wrap platter catered by the cafe around the corner and fresh fruit salads. Please send through any dietary requirements or requests. Customised lunches and additions such as cakes for private bookings are able to be organised as well.
