Looking to advance your current sewing skills? Come along to Sydney Creative's sewing class to make your own pyjama shorts.
In this intermediate class, you'll be guided through cutting your pattern and fabric, where your teacher will explain the symbols in the pattern and how to follow them to prepare your material. Previous sewing experience is essential to follow along, with a basic understanding of a sewing machine required.
Your teacher will run through a quick refresh of threading the machine, however, if you have not sewn in a while, you may want to consider coming to a Sewing Class for Beginners class first.
Making your own shorts is a great next step in your sewing journey, especially if you have completed a beginner's class or the Introduction to Garment Making Class.
The pattern for pyjama shorts is slightly more complex and a natural next step without it being too intimidating. You'll be guided through the entire process by your experienced sewing teacher, and learn new skills such as installing an elasticated waistband, having a taster on sewing on our overlockers and constructing the garment.
A basic understanding of using a sewing machine is needed.
