Whether you're new to matcha or are already in love with this specialty green tea powder from Japan, Chakabuki is a fun and immersive way to discover more about this tea while testing your tastebuds. Fair warning: you'll be drinking six (small) cups of matcha, two of each kind.

Wonderful morning learning of the different types of Matcha and having a bit of fun with the blind tasting of the flavours. Great shop too, highly recommended.

We had a such great time at Yukino's Chakabuki class! A unique and authentic way to experience a piece of Japan in Sydney. Yukino was extremely knowledgeable, the tea was delicious (and so were the homemade Japanese sweets), and it was overall a very relaxing time. Thanks Yukino (and Asami) :)

My daughter and I enjoyed the workshop very much. We have learned things we never knew before about Moss and things to consider when designing a mini Japanese garden. The instructors are very informative and have created a fantastic ambience for the class.

I really enjoyed learning to make something unusual and was happy to find that the garden was easy (and fun) to make and low maintenance to look after. Really appreciated the effort by the teacher to incorporate genuine Japanese materials. Recommended.

Nice & cosy venue and setup, warm & friendly welcome, with beautiful & high quality materials provided to be able to make very our Mini Zen Moss Garden. The lovely teacher also shared some very interesting information about the materials (what they were, where they came from), the elements of zen gardens, AND about moss (it is an amazing and diverse living thing that is actually very hardy and feeds on air pollutants! And now I have some for my home!) Thank you for the very relaxing and enjoyable class :)

I am a complete, terrified newbie when it comes to painting. This workshop, however, was such a fun, at times meditative process, in a beautifully curated space (by Simply Native).

The teacher, Andrew Yee, was awesome! He provided genuine support and encouragement throughout the class, whilst also demonstrating a deep knowledge about painting, drawing, and the process of creativity. He provided great ideas for the beginners and the painting veterans alike.

Didn’t think it was possible but Andrew and the class made me want to pursue painting! 5 stars

Very informative. fun, friendly atmosphere. Also easy enough for those without a lot of artistic talent.
Be warned stacking the blocks is addictive!

Fantastic day full of fun.
Well priced and organised. Everything required was supplied in price including 3 timber blocks, Organic paint, Painting sponges, gloves and hand wipes.
All ages were welcomed.
The day started with welcome translated for us. The teachers were very welcoming and got around to each table with ease.
Looking forward to seeing them again.

What a great idea for a workshop! Gorgeous location, interesting story behind tumi-isi blocks and a really lovely afternoon choosing, painting and balancing our blocks. Attendees were from every age range and we all had a ball. Well worth trying if you get the chance!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Tumi-isi painting class today. Daimon Kanno’s handmade, beautiful cedar blocks were a joy to choose and paint. A very meditative hour of painting with a nice group of people and at a gorgeous winery. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon especially with a glass of Small Forest Shiraz by Atsuko!

The venue was ideal, plenty of space to work, comfortable settings, all the equipment one needed and pleasant company. There was ample opportunity to ask questions of the teacher/supervisor and I believe a fun time was had by everyone - both adults and children.
A new, relaxing, experience! Thank you, Atsuko and Daimon
