Sky is a Sydney based fibre artist and colour designer. Part of the New Craft Movement (a global 'happening' where art meets design meets craft) she chooses weaving and other fibre techniques as her vehicle for creative expression. Sky regularly exhibits her works, and has been featured in Inside Out Magazine, Home Beautiful Magazine and is part of a fibre and textile art collective called Seed Stitch. Sky has taught over 1000 student and loves sharing her passion with the world.

Sky was clear and easy to get along with.
Material was available to all. It was fun and the time went by quickly.
This pic I provided was that of my work colleague who went home and completed the basket and placed her loved plant in it. Well done Tulin! Overall a really fun workshop to attend.

What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday learning from Sky. Her enthusiasm and creativity just flowed in this class to create in us a desire to create.

Skye was an excellent teacher- providing clear instructions and creating a friendly, relaxed atmosphere in her studio. We were given a choice of materials and could take sufficient materials home to finish our projects. The technique is quite easy but produces a fun result. Skye's own work around the room was inspiring. I would recommend this class.

The private course on weaving was wonderful. Sky was very warm and welcoming and shared a huge amount of knowledge and ideas with us.
We learnt many different methods of weaving, knotting, setting up and finishing projects and practical ideas for us to implement with our own school students.
She was patient when we needed an extra demo and assisted us in developing our wall hangings.
All the materials were provided and we also took away a pack so we can use at home. The class was value for money and up-skilled us to tackle our own projects.

Had so so much fun with this workshop! There was access to a wonderful variety of materials of excellent quality + beautiful workshop environment + our knowledgeable, likeable, and very helpful teacher, Sky + getting to learn lots of different techniques + lots of lovely little touches like tea, pastry, and some gorgeous tools to take home! The 3 hours flew by! Thanks so much Sky for such an lovely experience! Love my creation! Will definitely be practicing making more!

This workshop is a great way to spend a Saturday. Sky is a welcoming host, providing delicious tea and snacks, and her studio is peaceful and inviting. It's satisfying to go from no weaving experience to finishing a small hanging in just a few hours. Highly recommended!

Sky is an amazing teacher. Very motivating and the class was great fun.
A great way to spend a Saturday and learn something new.
the path of the class was amazing and everyone got really involved and managed to finish a wall piece to hang.

I really enjoyed Sky's weave a wall hanging class. She gives clear and easy to follow directions and we all produced wall hangings within the allocated time. Sky also has a good sense of humour and plays good music

Sky's class was fantastic! We had such a nice little group and Sky's teaching was really great, she explained things really straightforwardly and was so fun and friendly. This workshop was so much fun! Sky is a wonderful teacher. We learned the basics of weaving and lots of techniques to create different effects. The studio and the class had a lovely feel about it, like catching up with friends (the cake and tea was a beautiful extra touch!). I can’t wait to try out more classes with Sky!

If you are going to learn to weave, do yourself a favour and pop in to Skye's cosy studio for a class. You will leave with a cute first project and she explains everything as you go. No prior knowledge necessary. Good quality materials also.

Really enjoyed this weaving class with Sky. The venue was perfect and with all the materials provided and a finished wall hanging to take home it was a very rewarding experience. Plus providing morning tea.
