What you'll do
Balmain is one of Australia’s most famous ‘pub-urbs’, due to it having the highest pub to people ratio in the country, so if you’re looking for fun things to do in Sydney, we think this Balmain walking pub tour will be perfect!
You’ll enjoy a two-and-a-half-hour walking pub tour, where your expert guide will give you the low-down on the history of the area while you indulge in a little beer or wine tasting.
You’ll weave through the streets of Balmain, visit four of the most iconic pubs in the area, and have the opportunity to enjoy a craft beer or glass of wine in each location. The pubs here have seen plenty of action over the years, from convicts and movie-stars to Olympians, gangsters and even the launch of a major political party - you’ll be fascinated!
Important tour information:
- We will meet at East Village Hotel, 82 Darling St, Balmain East at 2.30 pm.
- The tour will wrap up at approximately 5 pm at The Riverview Hotel, Balmain.
- This tour accommodates a minimum of three guests. Your order will be confirmed once we have filled three seats on the tour.
- Because our tours are truly behind the scenes experiences sometimes our plans need to change to accommodate brewery operations. And sometimes we just know about beer goings-on around town that are worth checking out, so we may change some parts of our tours. Whilst these changes are rare, we do reserve the right to make them. If you do have a must-see beer spot, please let us know when making your booking and we’ll do all we can to make it happen.
