On the search for fun Brisbane activities for kids? Get your child in the kitchen for this unique cooking class with Come And Cook!
This menu is a crowd-pleaser full of takeaway delights or as we call them: fake-aways! Get your child to come along and cook up a storm in a small group with our hands-on classes held in The Gap. Â
What's on the menu?
- Cheesy Calzone
- Southern (air-fried) chicken
- Creamy carbonara pasta
- Delish (baked) doughnuts with cinnamon sugar or strawberry glaze
- Special fried rice
Kids will learn culinary skills, how to use kitchen tools safely and discover how to interpret a recipe. They'll leave the class with containers full of recipe items made and also the booklet of recipes to keep.
Please note: this class is not suitable for gluten-free, lactose-free or vegetarian diets.
- Two large plastic containers, a water bottle and a happy smile.
- Please get kids to wear enclosed shoes and tie long hair back.
Suitable for kids from 8 to 12 years old. Adult accompaniment is not required.
Since 2002 our qualified classroom teacher has been running Brisbane cooking workshops and also in the UK and has vast experience with children and adults of all ages and abilities.
Creativity is a messy and important part of childhood but don’t worry, we clean up!
We can cater for students of all abilities; inquisitive cooks, creative minds, beginners and even help fussy eaters. In this current stage of Covid-19 we run Zoom dinner club classes for kids and special themed cooking nights on Zoom for adults. Face-to-face classes will be opening from 15th of June.
Our lessons are taught in a commercial-class kitchen with on-street parking and lots of local cafes and bushwalks right here.
