What you'll do
In this relaxing live online class, you will learn how to make a regular-sized terrarium.
You will learn about soil layering and composition, how to pick the right plants for your environment, and then how to care for your beautiful little garden so that it thrives in the years to come, with minimal maintenance required.
We’ll have an interesting range of tropical plants, rocks and playful figurines for you to choose from in your craft box, as well as of course the glass vase and soil. Pick what you like and personalise your little garden just the way you like it.
This class includes all materials in your craft box to create your miniature world and up to three beautiful plants for a regular-sized terrarium.

The Plant Whisperer is an offer from Melbourne's own queen of the jungle, Haylee Magendans. Haylee is an avid nature lover and obsessive plant collector who's plant knowledge is second to none. Formally operating under Evie Black, Haylee left an unfulfilling corporate job to focus full time on her creative pursuits and her other passion, yoga, and she's happy to say it was the best decision she's ever made. Haylee now focuses almost solely on plants and plant workshops and runs some other creative events from time to time
My mission is to brighten bodies and homes with beautiful, well made and original pieces and luscious jungle plants. My work is continuously changing and evolving with my current inspirations and all items are one off or limited numbers. A very big thank you for organising today’s terrarium event.
It was the best few hours I’ve had for a few weeks.
Life has been challenging as a Carer & then a hospital stay for myself.
I feel brighter this morning participating in this fun event.
Hayley was excellent & it was lovely having interaction from other carers.
Sadly my glass bowl arrived with a break in the side of it , plus broken plant.
I enjoyed learning from Hayley today & if it is possible I would love to participate in the
plant ball session , if that is ok.
I loved seeing what the other ladies had made with their terrariums & I have lots of ideas to follow up on.
Like visiting an op shop to source vessels & to involve my grandson in helping to create terrariums for gift making, when we are able to leave the house post Covid
