Armed with some basic tools (screwdrivers, pliers, and wire cutters) and a little know-how, the children will be encouraged to pull things apart to see what’s inside in this fun Sydney class!
During the class, we’ll explore what makes things work, how and why pieces connect to each other and discuss what could be rescued for reuse before it is thrown to landfill.
And in true Reverse Garbage style, the children may choose to accept the challenge to reuse the items and make their own creative project!
This Sydney class is suitable for ages seven to 13 years. If you are looking for fun kids activities in Sydney, then this is perfect.
Note: This is a structured workshop and may not be suitable for all children.

We are a creative reuse centre making a difference in the world by reducing waste and creating change in the way we look at resources.
We run workshops for kids, adults and community groups so everyone can learn how to consume less and make more! With us, you'll see the creative potential in leftover and castaway materials to save them from going into landfill.
At Reverse Garbage you’ll find the materials, skills and inspiration you need to live more creatively, more sustainably and more meaningfully.

Engaging class for kids that are curious about the inner workings of tech gadgets. The inside of an old PC and an old Nokia phone were the highlights! Many thanks

My daughter said she had a great time and enjoyed herself at the class. She liked that she was able to take home some keyboard keys spelling her name.
Very well organised, educational and sounds like it was fun:-) My son and his friend had a great time and also enjoyed playing in the garden afterwards:-)

Enrolled 2 sons to attend this course, and they both loved it, and got me to enroll them another workshop as soon as we got home.
They really happy they got to bring home a component as well as a souvenir.
Looking forward to attending again in the future.

My child was very pleased both with her creation and the opportunity to take things apart. She felt empowered using the tools and helping classmates even as the youngest in the group.

My child enjoyed the Tinkering Class. Teacher was flexible and let them focus on what they were enjoying. Kind lady at RG and the teacher gave my child some take away things to build at home.

Loved wrecking things.
Would have liked to use all the tools - more than screwdrivers!
My son loved the class, he liked pulling things apart. The teacher seemed very engaging and attentive. I found it good value for money.

My 8 yr old son had a blast! He couldn’t stop talking all the way home about how he constructed his robot using old computer parts and a mouse!
He learn’t about how to take something that someone considers junk and re-use it.
He particularly enjoyed using tools and taking electronics apart to find “their brain”.
His teacher Brett was very friendly and was a great help in allowing his creation to take form.
I highly recommend the class
