Yes, for up to 6 people. If more people want to attend this workshop I am happy to travel to your chosen venue

Would there be a surcharge if you travel to my chosen premises?
Yes, if you would like me to travel to your premises there would be a surcharge of $25-$50 depending on the distance if over 15km.

Is this workshop easy if I haven't attempted free-motion machine embroidery previously?
The answer is Yes! Free-motion machine embroidery is easy to learn.

Can I do free-motion machine embroidery on my older domestic sewing machine?
Yes, the sewing machine that I usually work on is from the 1970's. Just make sure that you can drop or cover the feed dogs.

Do I need a special presser foot for free-motion machine embroidery?
Not necessarily, but it would be recommended to have a free-motion/darning foot, as this will make it easier for you to sew in free-motion and achieve the correct look to your stitches.

Some people prefer to work without a presser foot, but it easier to work with one when you are learning the techniques.

What if I don't own a sewing machine?
I have two spare sewing machines that I can hire out, for the small sum of $15, while you are attending the workshop.

Can I choose what I would like to sew in free-motion machine embroidery?
Yes, there are many things that you can choose from, or there might be something that you have always wanted to make and learn in free-motion machine embroidery. If you let me know in advance what you would like to do, I'm sure that we can organise the workshop around your idea, so long as it fits into the allotted time of 3 hours and 30 minutes. You can always book in for another session if you would like to continue your project in a supervised workshop.
