I will never question the price of a footstool ever again! lots of physical exertion in this glass, you can skip the gym on the day you do it - but very enjoyable. Ren, the instructor, was a delight. Very knowledgeable, explained everything thoroughly and had the patience of a saint.

I made my first picture frame under the very knowledgeable Luke. The class took me through the entire process and now I can appreciate why commercial framing is so expensive. thank you Among the Trees...

I'd like to thank Mark and Ben for giving the Sep 12/13 Introduction course such a positive vibe, pitching it at what appeared to me the right level of complexity. Like Goldilocks' porridge, they had to get the degree of difficulty "just right". Not too easy and not too complicated. Mark could run these + more

Luke & Mitchel were awesome teachers and ensured everyone had time to finish the project (I was slower than most). I learnt some really valuable skills and I love my planter box now that I’ve sanded it all down, can’t wait to varnish it! :) Thanks guys! I hope to come back to the space again sometime soon.

Great class. If you think you could have a go at teaching yourself how to weave a chair seat forget it. There’s way more to it than you think - you need this class! Very good value, an enjoyable day, Luke’s knowledge and skills very generously shared and I’m looking forward to signing up for another course soon.

Tim was awesome—Super clear instructions, very patient. Always willing to help but also stands back to let you do the work yourself. Really great teacher. Among the Trees was a great place to do it, I loved the concept of a whole shop purely made of tools and materials that would’ve gone to the tip.

Andrea Ehlers

Loved the 2 days building a side table and will be back to do more. I learnt a lot by 'getting on the tools' and found the experience really satisfying. I was really impressed with the table design that we were given - well ahead of my expectations - which added to the sense of pride in the outcome! + more

It was a great laidback class. Very accessible use of unknown tools, with helpful and encouraging supervision. A great gateway to woodworking, I definitely now want to do more at home and come back for more complex classes.

I booked this class for my 9 year old son after he really enjoyed the kid's noughts and crosses class. My son loved this class, it was really hands on for him and he was able to have a lot of control over what materials he used and where he placed the blocks/logs etc so he really loved it. Not an issue + more

Loved the Whittling class with Nick! Everything was really well prepared, from all the tools to the written references to the super thoughtful guidance provided by Nick throughout the class. I am definitely now hooked to wood carving!

Richard Garner

Very relaxed and enjoyable class. It is fairly open-ended with a workshop feel: you're given a bunch of options, and a run down of the key things you need to know, then you can choose your path, try out different approaches and different tools, and see where you get to. Nick was a great teacher with + more

Peter Sullivan

For a birthday Teacher was fantastic, gave as much freedom or guidance as we desired Very relaxing atmosphere We loved everything

John Shovelan

It was a haven for the week where we used recycled timber and learnt wood working skills which both dated back to the middle ages. With Luke's knowledge and guidance we used these to create a grand work bench that will last another age. It was a wonderful experience.

Lindy Baker

The class was great, Shane is very knowledgeable and helpful and taught us all the process really well in a day! The only thing stopping me from French polishing any timber I have is time - maybe thankfully!! Nice class, nice process!

Nick Linsley

Shane ran a great class! He did a really good job of explaining and demonstrating the fundamentals of French Polishing. I feel like I have enough knowledge backed with a little bit of hands on experience to add this technique to my finishing skillset and learn more as I experiment with it.

Rocky Rozario

Shane was very good at introducing us to French Polishing and explaining the concepts. Teaching us how to fix problems - should we encounter them - was a bonus. Well structured and plenty of hands on experience - great course.
