It was a very chill evening! My first time doing a workshop esc event at That Paper Joint. The space was inspiring, the staff were helpful and lovely and ir was a good movie selection. I was told I could offer suggestions for future movies and any of the Shrek sequels would be my suggestion.

I booked this for a friend's birthday and we both loved it! It's such a great creative and positive space to learn and mess around with all the tools and paper.
Max is so chill and supportive and offers ideas to inspire and gently nudge you forward when you get stuck. I highly recommend to That Paper Joint to anyone wanting to try and new creative hobby or have a relaxed evening that gets you off your phone!

My friend and I came to celebrate our belated birthdays. We really enjoyed our time in 'That Paper Joint' class cut and paste collage workshop. Max was very clear with his instructions and very attentive in the one-to-one sessions for individual tuition. I loved finding colours and shapes to create my design. It was a very friendly class of 8 people and I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to spend a few hours creating their dream design!

First of all, the space was absolutely adorable. It was such a beautiful place that I felt happy just being there.
MAX was so friendly and made me feel comfortable by calling me by my name. He kindly shared his ideas and helped us along the way. His ideas were truly amazing!

I had such a lovely time at my first Collage Night! I was quite nervous about coming because I have social anxiety, but Max was incredibly kind and created such a welcoming atmosphere. Everyone was friendly, and I felt comfortable enough to relax and enjoy being creative for over two hours.

Really enjoyed this workshop. Live the vibe of the place. I went with my husband and we had a great time creating. We also picked up some great tips from Max, our teacher. I loved the technique of making an incision with a hobby knife to insert items into to make them look like they are in something (E.g. a bowl) or coming out of something. Loved how the workshop was laid back but still had some structure. It was well organised and loved the slide show of our scanned artworks at the end. Was a really lovely afternoon sipping on tea, getting crafty and having snacks. I also liked looking around at the different art works on the wall & all the bits and bobs. Thank you to all the staff involved. Highly recommend this workshop and the shop itself is great to visit.

I absolutely loved this workshop! I was completely absorbed the entire time, and there was the perfect amount of support and guidance from the facilitator. I experimented with a few different techniques/styles, too, which was fun. The snacks were tasty, too!

Thank you so much Max and Zoe - we immensely enjoyed our weekend session on 4/7/2026. It was a quite a different experience as this was our second time and we got so much more out of it as we had a better idea of how to maximise our time. Max was a great teacher, guiding and happy to step in when needed but equally, happy to be supportive in the background as well. The atmosphere was relaxing and really allowed our creativity to shine without any pressure or stress. Would highly recommend!
