Being at That Paper Joint is the gift in itself... everything you learn, make and take away with you is just the added win. Max is an absolute wealth of knowledge; I always leave having learnt something new and wonderful and Zoe is a breath of fresh air who instantly makes you feel at home.
I just love being in their space. It’s inspiring, welcoming and such a beautiful way to quieten the outside noise of life for a little while and simply make something with your hands. There’s something really special about what they’ve created there.

Movie nights at 'that paper joint' have become a bit of a school holiday ritual for my friend Alex and I (this is our third time booking into the event!) As busy teachers, we absolutely love having a cosy space to come along to, get crafty and unwind before the school term starts.
There's always a great selection of movies to book into and we love getting to bring along our own projects, BYO drinks and snacks, and settle into a relaxed, creative atmosphere. The studio has great vibes and Max is always a wonderful host.
Highly recommend for a cosy and creative movie night!

Had the best time on Friday evening. It was a full class (10?) that shared a great time with collaging by Max. Atmosphere was relaxed and fun.
No occasion, just went to That Paper Joint the weekend prior and decided to give it a go after seeing another class having the best time! We learnt some great collaging techniques and the 5 step process to making creative and above all fun pieces.
Max is a great guide throughout the entire collaging process – special shoutout to his love of 90s and 00s hip hop that was playing throughout (we need more ATLiens playing in everyday life).
Ended up making a couple of pieces (you'll probably have time for one great piece, I rushed a second because it was fun) that were then presented together (after scanning) in a group slideshow to each other!
Awesome fun, will be back!

It was a very chill evening! My first time doing a workshop esc event at That Paper Joint. The space was inspiring, the staff were helpful and lovely and ir was a good movie selection. I was told I could offer suggestions for future movies and any of the Shrek sequels would be my suggestion.

I booked this for a friend's birthday and we both loved it! It's such a great creative and positive space to learn and mess around with all the tools and paper.
Max is so chill and supportive and offers ideas to inspire and gently nudge you forward when you get stuck. I highly recommend to That Paper Joint to anyone wanting to try and new creative hobby or have a relaxed evening that gets you off your phone!

My friend and I came to celebrate our belated birthdays. We really enjoyed our time in 'That Paper Joint' class cut and paste collage workshop. Max was very clear with his instructions and very attentive in the one-to-one sessions for individual tuition. I loved finding colours and shapes to create my design. It was a very friendly class of 8 people and I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to spend a few hours creating their dream design!

First of all, the space was absolutely adorable. It was such a beautiful place that I felt happy just being there.

I had such a lovely time at my first Collage Night! I was quite nervous about coming because I have social anxiety, but Max was incredibly kind and created such a welcoming atmosphere. Everyone was friendly, and I felt comfortable enough to relax and enjoy being creative for over two hours.
