Get messy with clay, bring your favourite bottle of vino and enjoy a clay and sip experience as you learn a new skill. For this class, the team at Klaypots Studio will teach you how to make your own ceramics on a pottery wheel.
This is a small class with a maximum of six people and is hosted in Karina's studio. A smaller class size means that you will get extra hands on attention and learn the basics of wheel throwing in one session.
You can make as many pieces as you like, your two favourite pieces will be bisque fired, glazed by the Klaypots team and fired again and be available for collection four to six weeks after the class. We can finish more pieces for you at an additional cost per piece. All the ceramics you make are dishwasher safe, food safe and water tight as long as they have no holes in them.
We focus on using reclaimed clay in the studio, this simply means that all the pieces that don't work out, off cuts and trimmings get recycled into a new batch of clay.
We include aprons, wine glasses/drinking glasses and a wine fridge for you to use at the studio, we also have chilled and sparkling water.
The studio is equipped with new pottery wheels that are suitable for people who are left or right handed, air conditioning for those hot days, music and a relaxing atmosphere.
Ready to play with clay and sip your favourite BYO drinks? Come get messy with us!
If you are ready to challenge yourself and learn the process from making through to glazing, check out our six week course.

I am Karina and I am a ceramic artist, business owner and teacher based in Crows Nest on the upper north shore in Sydney. My passion for ceramics started out as a hobby in 2016 and over the last two years has really grown into a small business with a focus on handmade small batch ceramics and tailor-made events for clay lovers and learners.
I have a passion for teaching and making. I'm a very social person and I love meeting new people, teaching others how to create ceramics and explore clay, hosting events and collaborating with other businesses in fun and creative ways.
I hope that I can teach you to make something beautiful.
