Terrific instructors guided us through the step-by-step process of hand building clay. A small group setting meant the instructors were able to assist each person where needed. The studio space was cute and felt cosy. Learnt so much in just one workshop. Highly recommend for absolute beginners.

Me and a group of climber friends with ADHD decided to spontaneously join this class and it was such a good decision. We were able to concentrate for the entire 2.5 hour course with a very friendly, chatty, helpful and skilled instructor. I would definitely recommend this to everyone, climber or not.

We had such a wonderful experience at this pottery studio last weekend. I visited with my child and a group of friends, and it was truly a memorable activity for all of us.

Shane, our instructor, was incredibly engaging and made the entire session both fun and informative. His teaching style is clear, patient, and very encouraging, which made it easy for beginners to enjoy the process.

The studio itself has a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, making it a perfect place to relax and get creative. We all had an amazing time and left with big smiles (and our own handmade pieces!).

Highly recommended – a perfect activity for families and friends. 10/10 experience!

Market Studio's Clay, Paint & Hands is one of the Inner West's true hidden gems. Tucked away in the charming streets of Annandale, it feels like stepping into a little world of creativity and magic.

The studio shop is filled with beautiful handmade ceramics that make perfect gifts – mugs, ceramic lamps, jewellery holders, incense holders, magnets and so much more. Every piece is unique and made with so much care.

The classes are thoughtfully run and welcoming for all skill levels, whether you're picking up clay for the first time or already have experience. The encouragement, creativity and warmth that fill the space make it such a special place to be.

I honestly can't recommend Market Studio highly enough. If you love art, creativity or are simply looking for something inspiring to do, you have to check it out.

I attended this pottery class for my 20th birthday and myself and all my friends had so much fun, our teacher Shane was super helpful and funny and made sure all our peices looked amazing and functional. The atmosphere of the studio is amazing and we got to play our own music through their speakers. This is my second time doing this class and every time I have so much fun creating something new! I definitely recommend to everyone it’s something that you can have fun doing at any age!! Shane is the best! Also for the fact that he made a private class especially for my birthday even though he had a market stall going on that weekend at finder keepers markets!

The class was awesome. Shane and Megan were wonderful teachers and my daughter and her friends had such a good time. They were patient, allowed the kids to explore their creativity and were so encouraging. I would recomend the class to anyone and will even be doing the adults class in coming weeks. Really fun class! Shane and Airr are friendly and easygoing instructors, showing a bunch of clay techniques and then letting us loose to make anything we wanted. They were helpful with guidance and advice on how to achieve our visions. I really enjoyed how freeform the workshop was - so many clay workshops are prescriptive about what gets made. I was a little ambitious with my project and didn't get to finish my painting, but they were really flexible in letting me come back another day to complete it!

This really good value for money. The teacher, Shane was very good at explaining techniques. Both he and his partner were encouraging when we got to have a go, and gave helpful advice and ideas. We attended the Clay Pets class with family and friends to celebrate my 40th birthday, and it was such a wonderful experience. My young son joined us as well, and he absolutely loved it.

Air and Shane were both so lovely and incredibly patient with everyone. Shane was a fantastic teacher - especially with my son - offering guidance in such a calm and encouraging way.

The whole atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, which made it easy for everyone to enjoy themselves, regardless of skill level. We all had such a great time and created some really special memories together.
