Class was small and friendly. We were guided by an expert teacher who demonstrated every step then was on hand as required. We were encouraged to let our imaginations run riot. Lots of fun.

Pottery Class: Clay Play for Kids
The teacher was very patient and kind with the children. She did a terrific job! All the children had a great time at the clay play party and were engaged the whole time. The teacher provided assistance where needed and explained the procedures clearly. We would highly recommend the event, the venue and this teacher!

What a wonderful course! Nurdan was such a great teacher and very patient with all of us. I learned so much about the creating process from preparing clay to throwing to glazing. I can’t wait to see all my fired creations and how far I’ve come since class one! Would highly recommended.

Nurdan is a wonderful teacher. I had never touched a pottery wheel before and by the end of the course I was making my own plates and cups. The Deep Blue Ceramics studio is very well appointed and has great equipment and tools. Thanks for a great class series Nurdan!

I was given a beginners course as a gift.
Didn’t know if I would like it or not but it was truly enjoyable.
Amy runs an informative class and is very helpful when you are having trouble trying to grasp the intricacies of pottery.

Amy is a thorough and patient teacher. She guided us through all the basics of pottery throwing, builiding a really good base of knowledge to continue practice. We all ended up with some fantastic vessels and plates by the end of the 5 week course. We absolutely loved this class! My friend and I had the best time making little cups, vases and trinket bowls, and the teachers were so helpful and amazing. We loved being able to create some beautiful, organic art and experiment with the clay and underglaze paints. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic beginner level course, or even as a refresher for those that have some experience. Amy has a relaxed and friendly style, making everyone feel welcome. Group instruction first, then plenty of one on one where needed, ensuring everyone gets what they need to complete a variety of pieces.
I loved every minute, and would definitely recommend this course

I had a great time making some beautiful things with lots of help from Amy! it was the perfect gift.
Amy is a brilliant teacher who gives you everything you need and enables your own creativity to come through with each piece. She was always on hand to boost confidence and ensure what I made was what I had hoped for.
The studio is a very welcoming and calming space, and it's equipped with all you could need. each step of the process is sustainable and thoughtful of each person in the workshop and the environment.
I'll be back, and I'm sure I'm not the only one from the group to plan on a return!

I have just finished my 5-week beginner course with Amy at Deep Blue Ceramics and absolutely loved it. I loved being able to create a range of things on the wheel as well as trimming and glazing them. I can't wait to see how they turn out after the final fire in the kiln.
Amy is a fun and knowledgeable teacher and helped each of us develop our skills. Everything you needed was provided, and the new studio and awesome company made for a great atmosphere. I will be back for more. Thank you!

Pottery Wheel Throwing Course for Beginners
We had a fantastic time on our 5 week introductory course for wheel throwing! Amy set out a curriculum covering everything we needed to know to go from zero to first pot, and we were on the wheel right in the first session making real things that we trimmed and glazed later. Amy was super friendly and an excellent teacher, and demonstrated the techniques herself before giving us observed guidance on how to improve our own technique. I really like the perfectly balanced learning atmosphere which had enough space to build the peices that we were inspired to try whilst also having a clear direction of what we should be learning. Amy's studio was also fantastically well equipped and our class of 6 an ideal size. All in all this course was the highlight of our week and we're really looking forward to continuing ceramics in the future!

If you are curious about pottery and want to give it a go, please do the beginner wheel class with Amy! It gives you great foundational skills and is a very welcoming and inclusive environment. All materials provided and you come away with several glazed pieces. Will definitely be back for more classes.

Continuing Wheel Throwing Course
Amy has been an amazing teacher and mentor with her ceramic wheel throwing classes. I've loved every second I had to come back for more! Great for beginners or those already accustomed to the wheel. Plus, the studio is beautiful which is a bonus!

Clay Sculpting Class: Vulva Art
The Vulva Sculpting class Amy hosted was fantastic. She held the class in her studio which was spacious and had multiple different clays available to choose from. All the tools were provided in the classroom, there was also an abundance of glazes to use after we had finished sculpting and gave us full creative support and freedom to sculpting and design as we chose.
Class was very good value for money, it was a beautiful afternoon of chit chat, secret women's business and laughter. Will definitely be booking another class with Amy in the near future!
