Fantastic class for children and adults, my 5 year old loved it and had a wonderful time. Jemma is so patient, guides the children with how to mix colours without inhibiting their creativity and encourages them to full express themselves in art form! A great class, will be back again :-)
Had the best time! Even under stress of the cats face, the teacher was absolutely amazing and patient and knew her stuff. We made it work and she had faith in me. Loved that. A comfortable lovely room with a calm vibe. Sooo much fun. Thank you :)
Jemma is fantastic! She offers themes that are always exciting and engaging for my girls. Jemma is very patient in her approach, as well as super positive and encouraging. Her lessons are step by step and explicit so that my girls feel success when creating their art pieces, however at the same time, Jemma fosters individuality and encourages creativity and individualism when creating art. We had a great time painting alongside our 5 year old. The teacher was great with the kids there. She was very helpful and patient while providing guidance in a very low pressure environment. We will definitely be back again.
Found The Art Studio on a Facebook group and took along a keen 5yr old loves everything arts and crafts. She had a blast for 2 hours with acrylic paints and Gemma showed an enormous amount of patience and encouragement. Will be back.
My daughter had so much fun. My husband also spoke highly of the class and said he'd love for our daughter to continue going. The teacher was patient and hands-on with all the kids and allowed the kids to use their imagination.
My 2 year old son had a great time. There was plenty of different toys and fun sensory substances for him to play with. The atmosphere was very lovely and relaxed.
Great venue. Messy play themes were excellent. My 1yo loved the cereal diggers and the bluey beach pasta-ravaganza. Excellent value for money. The teacher was encouraging but also gave the kids lots of space to play. Loved it.
The messy play session was just fantastic, a great value activity. The kids were able to play, discover, and innovate with a great range of activities, materials and tools, with few rules or limitations, and no expectations. My kids are 5, 7, and 9. All of them enjoyed the activites in different ways. -5yo enjoyed the activities as a big messy free play, lots of role play.-7yo loved the creative and artistic aspects and freedom to create.-9yo applied a scientific approach to the activities- "what happens if I mix these?", "what is this made from". He also liked getting "jobs" to help the host. Prepare yourself for lots of fun, messy kids, and potential staining. Bring a drink bottle too :)
A relaxing experience for my birthday celebration, which is something I defs needed. The teacher was thoughtful in creating a peaceful atmosphere decorating with florals and candles as a centrepiece (I adored this so much!) she was very helpful in guiding us when needed. The materials used exceeded expectations and worth every penny spent. I look forward to having more experiences here in the future :)
I took a client here for a one on one painting class and he had the most incredible time painting for the first time again in over 10 years. Gemma was great fun. Highly recommend. Thank you Gemma.
We have visited the art studio twice now for paint and sip and have had an absolute ball! Our host was amazing, so friendly and approachable and made it a very relaxing and fun experience. The classes were easily to follow along as someone with little experience and the end product turned out so beautiful. Definitely recommend for a fun evening out with friends for only $40!
Jemma did an amazing job creating my daughter's art party a success. She also included some of the other kid's siblings too in the painting class which is very nice. Jemma is very patient with kids and let them play outside for some messy play too. Thank you so much and I'm so glad I came across your page on instagram. Would highly recommend.
Such a wonderful experience! I took my daughter and we did the class together. It was such fun. Jemma was patient, encouraging, and helpful. The class was set up with everything we could need! Can't wait to come back!
Kids had a blast! The teacher was helpful and so patient while they worked through their projects. Painting, planting and decorating took the full amount of time allocated but we never felt rushed or behind.
This messy play was amazing! Lots of different options, my daughter loved all the gooey gloopy options while my son preferred the dry texures and activities. Even I had a go! Great opportunity for kids to explore and play, we will 100 percent go again.

My 4 year old and 1 year old had a great time at the Bluey themed messy play. Gemma was super friendly and approachable and interacted well with all the children. There were numerous different activities set out ready to go in a beautiful environment. We will definitely go back again.
My daughter’s face lights up every time we arrive at the Ipswich art studio. She’s gained so much confidence with each visit & really enjoys the variety of sensory activities. Also grateful for the lovely teachers who get involved too. Highly recommend :-)
Great experience with my daughter. Friendly teacher and guide us all the way through the end. We had a great time and found it very relaxing. My 10 year old would love to come back doing more classes
This messy play was so much fun! There were so many options for jordie to choose from, including an air-conditioned inside play area. Jemma was an amazing host and really made every section special. She especially loved making her own reindeer food to take home for Christmas eve. Thanks again for an amazing experience!
Jemma was awesome! The set-up was super cool and even baby friendly for my 10 month old. My bub loved it and I felt so at ease allowing her to wander around. I especially loved the detail and thought put into each station. We will definitely be back!
