What you'll do
Carnivorous plants have been a source of fascination to humans for centuries. Using clever trapping mechanisms, carnivorous plants are known for their ability to lure and ensnare insects. We invite you to get up close and personal with these amazing plants as you learn how to make your very own carnivorous terrarium!
In this carnivorous terrarium workshop, you will learn the basic skills to create a large, closed terrarium environment that will house 2-3 carnivorous plants. You will be guided by plant enthusiast Jen, who will take you thru the entire process step-by-step. Once your terrarium is complete, we will show you the process of cleaning your terrarium and teach you how to maintain it once you get home.

Beginner-friendly! No prior knowledge or skills are required.

What to bring
Just yourself! All materials required to create your terrarium will be provided on the day. Since we will be working with soil and plant matter, please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty!

Venue is a short 5-10 minute walk from Tottenham Station. If you're driving, limited street parking is available right in front of our studio. Other parking options are Central West Shopping Centre, Tottenham Station or Barkly Street (street parking), which are all a short walk to our studio.

Entangled is a small plant studio in the heart of the inner western suburbs. We specialise in creating kokedama, terrariums and other nature-based crafts for boths adults and children. Entangled also offers indoor plants, pots and plant care products in their humble space.
Entangled was started in 2019 by Jen, who is both a craft enthusiast and crazy plant person! Jen fell in love with the idea of fusing together her passion for plants and crafts after attending a kokedama workshop. Since then, Jen has sold her plant creations at markets across Melbourne and taught both private and public kokedama classes to different businesses and groups.
