Some prior experience with acrylics is assumed. Students should have attended at least an introductory workshop or class.

  Materials
Please bring the following:

• 2-3 stretched canvases depending on size (you may wish to do several smaller paintings, but no smaller than about A4 size).
• Minimum size 20x25cm/8x10", maximum whatever you can fit in your car - your own choice of shape.
• Mellissa would suggest that you seal your canvas with at least one coat of gesso before class to save time.
• Acrylic paint - Mellissa uses mainly Matisse Structure, but you can bring what you have so long as it is artist quality. Note: cheap paints from a discount store will not work as they do not have the pigment and don't mix well.
