Everybody loves the good old snag on the BBQ but do we really know how they are made, what is inside them and what you need to produce great sausages that the whole family will enjoy.
Learn the art of creating mouthwatering sausages from scratch, using the best ingredients and then how to cook, serve and enjoy them. We will go through tips, techniques, equipment and garnishes plus the ultimate lunch to enjoy!
We have teamed up with our resident butcher to put together a great range of butcher classes to showcase where our meats come from and how to best use and enhancer them for the greatest results.
This informative and hands-on class will have you breaking down a chicken Maryland to prepare a chicken lollipop from the drumstick to smoke and the thigh for your first sausage to grill. We will also produce two more sausages using pork with a range of exciting flavours.
We will grind together, process and prepare the sausages with the skins through the machine. We will also prepare and serve a range of salads and sides, sauces and surprises to ensure you have a full day and an even fuller stomach.

BBQ School was founded in 2004 by internationally trained chef and passionate foodie Ben Farley who identified that while many Aussies were really into cooking on the BBQ, most only had one or two recipes they knew how to cook really well.
Showing keen BBQ’ers how to prepare and confidently cook a collection of simple, effective and tasty recipes was the best way forward and so in 2004 Ben turned his back on a career in Sydney and London high profile restaurants and founded BBQ School.
In our classes, we assume no knowledge but have found that the more a student knows about BBQ cooking, the more they learn from our experienced chef presenters.
To date around 90, 000 people have been taught through the BBQ School.
Our head office is in Willoughby, Sydney but we also operate regular classes in Sydney's Centennial Park, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Hunter Valley and each year the School continues to grow in response to people who wish to cook with more flair when entertaining.
