What you'll do
Imagine creating a forest of your own, or a jungle, or grassy plains. Making a whole little world that will be yours to take home. This is your workshop with Life in a Jar.
Don't worry if you're a beginner, this class is perfect for newcomers! You'll discover the science behind closed terrariums and then get hands-on in making your very own.
Throughout the class, you'll work with handpicked, top-quality materials. From seasonal plants to hand-selected rocks and primed wood, each element is chosen with care. Plus, you'll even get to use our home-bred springtails, adding a biodynamic touch to your terrarium.
The workshop will blend a class setting with one-on-one guidance from your teacher, ensuring you feel supported and confident in your creation. At the end of the class, you'll leave with a beautiful, living terrarium of your own.
Please keep in mind that our supplies are fresh and organic, so there may be rare occasions like heat waves that impact availability. If a class needs to be canceled due to this, we'll inform you promptly and provide a full refund.

I learnt about plants from my grandfather. I would watch him pull carrots out of the ground and wipe the dirt off on his pants. He would bend down from his place in the clouds, where giants lived, and hand them to me. It felt magical. And it still feels like that every time I start working my fingers through the root of plants for my terrarium.
