What you'll do
Ballet Move in-person classes are back in Fitzroy, Melbourne! Ballet Move is an easy to follow, fitness-based class for all. The class is facilitated by Sheena Chundee, former Choreographer and Ballerina with The Royal Ballet (UK).
Each session begins with a gentle warm-up combining stretching and simple movements. We then move on to barre-inspired techniques that help you to tone, strengthen, and lengthen muscles. This is followed by low impact, standing movements and we finish with a section of mat work for our cool down.
Each exercise can be adapted to suit all levels, so if you're finding something a little hard, we can give you modifications that will make things easier and suitable for you.
The exercises are low-impact, which means there's no stress on the joints and we take plenty of time to stretch in between exercises allowing you to catch your breath and release any tension. We also integrate mat work exercises which means we activate different areas of our bodies and learn how to strengthen and use muscles in different ways.
There is always the option to grab a sneaky "breakfast beer" from our little bar and hang out with Sheena and other participants afterwards for a bite to eat and a chat. These classes are social, fun and oh, did we mention the awesome rock, pop, disco, blues playlists?
You'll finish the class feeling refreshed and inspired to continue moving your body is fun ways!

We create a fun, safe, educational and creative environment where people of all ages can not only connect with each other, but also with their creativity and with the amazing talent we have facilitating our workshops.
Every workshop we hold is an opportunity for everyone to discover a facet of the arts, whether that be through painting, singing, dancing, craftwork, film, acting, dance or music.
