Helene Oberman, Melbourne artist returns to Duldig Studio in Melbourne, where she will be focusing on the genre of interior and exterior landscapes and using impressionistic, representational and abstract styles.

This class is perfect for beginners and those experienced who would like to continue to develop their skills and artistic style.

Helene will explore with you a range of drawing and painting mediums including watercolour, pastel and oil painting. Tuition will be provided as well as opportunities for you to work independently with your preferred medium.

Each session, we will provide tea, coffee, Viennese plum cake and tutelage in our beautiful gallery space.

These classes can be enjoyed individually but they are best experienced as a series in which you can build up your skills. In the first session you will also be guided around the studio's heritage room and space for some creative inspiration before enjoying a cup of tea.

The Duldig family home was opened as a museum in 1996. In 2002, the association, The Duldig Gallery Inc. became incorporated as a public museum and art gallery to operate the Duldig Studio. It is a tax exempt charity and recognised as a deductible gift recipient institution under the Commonwealth Government’s Cultural Gifts Program. At this time a gallery space was added to the original house so that changing exhibitions could be mounted. Within the house a number of rooms are maintained as they were during the family’s residence. Karl’s original studio, with kiln, tools and work across all periods has been kept as it was left by the artist, and in the adjoining garden the bronze and terracotta sculptures also remain in situ.
