What you'll do
Join us for a delightful watercolour painting workshop in Brisbane's north, where you'll learn how to create a magical forest painting.
In this class, you'll discover the art of using watercolours to bring a forest scene to life and learn how to add depth and contrast to your canvas. Our friendly and knowledgeable instructor, Ann will guide you through each step, providing clear instructions and helpful tips along the way, making this class suitable for all levels of experience.
During the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to embellish your artwork with ink, pencil and a variety of other chosen materials, allowing you to add your own unique touch to your painting.
This workshop is designed to be a safe, relaxing, and beautiful environment where you can let your creativity flow. You'll also have the chance to enjoy a delicious morning tea and a satisfying lunch as you create.
At the end of the workshop, you'll be amazed at the beautiful forest scene that you've created and you'll have the opportunity to add your own personal touch by incorporating a bird, animal, person, or magical creature. Your artwork will be truly one-of-a-kind and something you can proudly display in your home or give as a thoughtful gift to a loved one.

I am Ann, and my business name is ann.russell.art. I am based in the north west suburbs of brisbane and have many years experience as a practicing artist and as an arts educator. Over the years, I have helped many people realise their creative potential and develop their own art work as a hobby, profession and for relaxation.
I love to paint in watercolour and mixed media and also create surreal assemblage sculptures using glass, resin, polymer clay and found objects.
I am passionate about helping everyone find their visual language and believe that everyone can paint, draw and develop their own style. I have studied art and education to post graduate level and love to pass on what I have learned to others.
As a practicing artist, I have exhibited locally, interstate and overseas and have been selected as a finalist for a number of prestigious exhibitions.
